The Path I Walk (5)

My limbs ache as I lumber forward, plagued by hunger and thirst, wind blowing desert sand into my eyes....
It had been a month since I last spotted the path....
I now find my mind wandering towards the cross-road again, my brain telling me that anything is better than this constant torture....
I've cried out to God countless of times, but the answer has always been unheard...
I recall my memories, for it is all I have left...
But they are only memories......
Trudging along, I search my sack for what little beverage I have left....
I've shed a few tears all through this harsh and long journey....
I feel that I have wasted half my life away....
Along a path that does not end,
A path of doom and despair....
One that I've warned myself of.... but I wouldn't listen....
I've made this mistake but what's done has been done...
I regret all of the things I've done....
The sun seems cold compared to the sadness burning in my heart....
Losing the path to glory was the jaw dropper~
I finally collapse to the ground, tired and sick....
I've finally come to reason that what which was once mine will never again be....
My eyes tear as my emotions rage inside me, offering little comfort....
The path has been lost, never to be walked on.
Ever again.
BRING ON THE VULTURES!!!

The Path I Walk (4)

The path I walk is becoming a distant memory to me......
I have finally found insanity a pleasant comfort and have drifted into slumber....
I dream of the path I have walked, thinking over what I have done wrong.....
I lay there for weeks, not a care in the world, embracing my insanity with open arms.....
My eyes spring back to life as sorrow surges through my veins pushing me forward.....
But the path I have walked for so long has vanish out of my sight.....
It has been removed from me......
My yearning for the goal of my dreams grows and weakens as the weeks go on.....
I have no clue where I am heading to as I see many other paths alluring me as I go on this desert terrain....
The sand blows into my eyes, blurring my vision every few minutes.....
My sadness and sorrow deepens as my goal drifts ever so further.....
I ponder about the possibility of changing the path I walk, attaining a different goal than the one I set out for.....
I have constantly pushed this thought out of my mind on account of achieving what I set out for.....
But I have lost sight of the path for a long time, often failing to see the point of going on and just submit to death....
It seems all so easy....
I call out to God for an answer and he responds.....
How Great Is My God.....
I spot the path up ahead of me.....
My joy increases and the thoughts of death leave me at once.....
I rush towards it hoping to continue my path, but I stumble......
I look up and the path is gone.....
My agony is unbearable....
My only hope is for God to continue to answer my prayers so that I may once again continue on the path I walk......
Until then.....
I can only hope and pray.....
Walking across the sandy desert......
No longer a path to walk on.....

The Path I Walk(3)

The sun shines brightly into my eyes as I continue on my path.....
The previous few days have been nothing less than torture for me.....
The situation looks bleak as I run out of rations and water....
I have lost half the will to continue my journey....
It seems meaningless to me.....
The end seems further than it was when I started it a year ago....
My feet have gotten sore with the continuous walk.....
I think back to the road I abandoned at the cross-road.....
What would that road have led to....
I regain focus on my path......
I spot something ahead as I walk....
There is a wall 30 feet high and with no end in sight.....
The path has been halted by this sudden obstacle......
This startles me and I do not know what to do.....
Turn around and try the other road?
Or pit my wits and struggle through?
I choose the latter....
I slowly begin to lose my composure and become a constant victim of stress....
The madness of continuing on this unseen road roaming around my head.....
Am I to give up on my journey?
The road has supposedly stopped here and I don't know what I can do.....
A few chances have come by but they soon go away.....
Leaving me in their dust.....
The grief of staying on that exact spot for so long without a goal drives me ever so closer to insanity.....
And so I wait and see what my fate has in store for me......
The path I shall not quit....
There will be a crack in this supposedly unbreachable wall....
And there I shall wait......

The Path I Walk(2)

And so I continue on my path....
Recent events have made me jump and dance as I move along but I have never faltered.
The path to my goal is still the one I walk on.
The path has been set with discouraging traps and blockages one by one.
But I shall prevail.
My will shall stand true and my legs shall move on.
For the fork in the road has disappeared, leaving a road with no end.
A long windy road testing me to the limit for that is the purpose of this path I walk.
I am glad.
I will finish this road determinedly.
And so I continue my path....

The Path I Walk

I have reached a fork in the road of life....
Both roads lead to the unknown but as I choose a path, there is no turning back.
No rewind button I can press to turn back time and change my path.
To my left leads a path of possible entrapment, trying to break free of a prison, never seeing the light of day.
But it might also lead to freedom like no other, giving me unnatural bliss and happiness.
The image begins to form in my head. I am trapped in a prison cell and two metres away from me is the key to my door.
But it is hung to the jailer, forever keeping an eye on me.
Am I to gamble and try for the key even if it might mean a death sentence for me.....
The road on my right is certain to end in me leaving my prison cell.
But the scene is a bit different for in my prison cell is a thousand chests filled with wonders beyond my imagination.
So what do I do?
My situation is desperate as I am left stuck at this fork on the road not knowing what to do....
And there I shall remain......
